The self is the unified state of consciousness. When we tune into the real world of oneness we become aware that our ego is not who we are. So we escape from the ego's world of illusions and reconnect with the truth of oneness.
(...) All of the ego's attempts to limit the self throughout history have resulted in a loss of self within the human being. How could we ever limit our true self if we are infinite? The ego can only distract you from the eternal self for a time but never will be able to defeat the self as the ego is false. This loss of self can be observed in the external world we see. (...) The reason why we are in the process of destroying the planet is because we are victims of the ego and we all have a loss of self. (...) The ghost has fooled us into believing that if we substitute the Earth to gain more of the invention we call money to buy material things we don't need, our lives will be better. This ego way of living cannot last, it is just not sustainable.
The shamans of the world have known this for centuries. The greatest piece of American Indian wisdom is, "When you have cut the last tree down and poisoned the last river, you will then know you can't eat money." We have substituted the self, our true state for an invention that will never last, money. But there is no need to worry because the ego is false and the self is the truth, so just like their physical manifestations, the manufactured world is false and will end, while the Earth has and always will be with us and it will have its way with the false world in the end. Both the manufactured and natural world are an inner reflection of the ego and the self.
So this means that the destruction of the Earth will not continue for too much longer as it is an illusion of who we are, and the truth is the eternal universe which Earth is part of. That pain we feel when we see nature being destroyed or when an animal is being treated cruelly, is the connection with the self. The pain is our self being tortured, because all life is connected. This stage of our evolution has been no mistake, it has all happened for a reason.
Along this journey we now know that this chapter of evolution was there for us to gain further understanding of who we are and why we are here. This time is here for us to awaken out of our slumber so we can find the truth. Now is the time for everybody to leave the ego behind. We can no longer be the servant of this false identity; instead we need to be its master. It is time for us to re-connect and live in our true state. The evolution is upon us. Evolution calls on all humans to find that infinite space within the self and take that eternal step to become the one. - Jason Gregory
